Current Event 24

E-Readers

The article describes a new device that makes reading a textbook much easier on the eye. I have little experience in reading text online because I am an old-fashioned kind of girl. I am the one that is always seen at Hastings buying books. I like the idea of this product the eDGe. The technology is of our time and I'm glad to see a business trying to put books on the same level as online newspapers, for example. I'm not going to say that this changes my mind about going to a library or a book store and purchasing a hard copy, but I do think that it is a good idea. I have read one book online and it was very difficult, the type was so small and very straining on the eyes. I like having the material in my hands, the smell of an old book, and the feel of walking into a book store and walking out with pages full of text, but this is a product I might consider, if there is a book that I think might be worth ready but now the $30 bill.
